We are pleased to offer the antiquities collection of Professor Walter J. Dilling for sale on Saturday, March 12. The items are mostly ancient Egyptian but some Roman objects are available as well.
Professor Dilling, who died in 1950, was a pharmacologist who spent most of his career at the University of Liverpool. He was also an avid collector of ancient objects. The vendor, a distant relation of the professor, said family lore states that he purchased the items from the museum at the University of Liverpool in the 1930s and 40s.
The relevant lots are #800-824 which can be viewed on our online catalogue.
